A North Florida man and three teenagers face criminal charges after forcing a boy to drink urine at a Boy Scout Camp near Jacksonville.

"This is an isolated incident; this does not normally happen at a Scout camp," said Jack Sears, chief executive officer and scout executive of the North Florida Council, which operates the 1,000-acre Camp Shands in Hawthorne, where the incident happened.

Joseph Wendell Reid, 21, and three minors are accused of holding a 12-year-old boy, who had been attending the camp, against his will this past Friday.

The boy told Boy Scout officials and Putnam County deputies he was kidnapped, held down by the four and forced to drink urine — allegedly as punishment for making derogatory statements about another boy attending the camp, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

lol... But yeah, I have a coworker with a son in Boy Scouts and a daughter in the Girl Scouts. So yeah, it's still a pretty commonly attended group these days.

I joined when I was 8 and was in until 18. Had loads of fun and I did things I would not normally have access to. Brilliant time.

I am in Scouts, went to an international thing over summer in Michigan. People from 24 countries, only 3 groups didn't allow girls: US, Jordan, Saudi Arabia.

It's weak these days, we're not even allowed to make kids go alone for 1 night for Wilderness Survival Merit Badge.

Though there is Venturing, which allows girls over 14, and there is one girl in our Crew that is pretty hot.

I remember when I did that we were so fucking hungry we ate a combined mix of hamburger helper and tuna helper, with cold (but previously cooked) beef, half raw noodles, and cold tuna. Our backpacking stove was so slow.
