http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2009/06/1 … man-fired/Supporters of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will rally Tuesday in front of New York’s Ed Sullivan Theater in their efforts to oust David Letterman from The Late Show for a recent joke he made about Palin’s daughter.
The group, Fire David Letterman, includes Anne Barone, a former member of Democrats for McCain, conservative documentary filmmaker John Ziegler and New York State Assemblyman Brian Kolb, who has already written a letterto CBS Chief Executive Les Moonves asking him to fire Letterman.
Palin and her supporters have harshly rebuked the late night comic—who later apologized—for a joke he made about the governor’s recent trip to a Yankees game when “during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.” Palin was accompanied by her 14-year-old daughter Willow. Palin’s 18-year-old daughter Bristol gave birth to a son earlier this year and has since become an abstinence advocate.
I, for one, think the joke wasn't funny but it was still just a joke. It did not impregnate or kill anyone. So what does everyone else think? Should Letterman be drawn and quartered or let keep his job?
