You're not missing much if your recon doesn't bother with it.

It doesn't make you parachute on every map, or if you put it below something...

And on maps like rush baazar, it takes forever to walk to the front from the spawn, and it rare for an enemy to get behind you. Far better that there be a spawn beacon...

Who cares if it blows up when the planter spawns on it?

Yes you are missing much.

lob a grenade under the jeep. Frag rounds work very well, too, aim for windows.
