This is true. Stingers are useless on ps3 unless there are two of you using them togeather, and thats just not worth it.

I'm on a quest to Service star every weapon and I began with the AS-VAL. How they even call it an assault rifle is beyond me, this gun is horrible, only a 20 round clip and shit bullet damage. My ratio got so fucked up trying to get a 100 kills with it lol.

On xbox 360 there are nothing but IGLAs everywhere. I get disabled about 4-5 times before I die (usually from crashing into a crane/plane) which is ridiculous. I've mastered dodging AA missiles though, so if I can figure out where they're coming from I just laugh it off.Chardee MacDennis wrote:

I am almost 24/7 harassed by IGLA when in my jets. Non stop BEEEEEEEEEP and I have to play chicken with the missiles to avoid them. Pisses me off that I can't be left the hell alone to just fight jets and helicopters but I have to worry about gay MANPADS.
Can we not have fixed AA like in BF2 and vehicle boxes + bombs for jets?
Is beam-scanner or whatever it's called any good? I never liked sidewinders because of the reload time but I think it could be really useful in dogfights (although I'm doing an amazing job with guns already) if the lockon time was much shorter.

I´m getting really annoyed by the unlock mechanics. I´m never happy about unlocking a new weapon, because it means that I have to grind my way to the RDS again. It makes no sense.

It also forces you to play with a greater variety of optics and iron sights, which frankly no one would, if they could attach their favorite sights on all guns, once unlocked.
What I really don't understand is why they issued the vehicles with no proper equipment by default, especially the aircraft.
Having started playing two weeks later and generally being worse than others in aircraft, I have absolutely zero chance at ever getting a reasonable amount of points, since I only start with a cannon or dumb rockets, and most of the time get a lock-on before take off, with the first heat seeker or guided missile hitting before I have even come in range to aim at my foes.
And I don't even get flares as a default.
Grinding the vehicles is a real pain. But I disagree with playing a wider variety of sights. I only play with the iron sights until I unlock the RDS, because I have serious trouble keeping on target with any zoom optics. Too bad many iron sights are shite though.
I liked how BC2 handled it tbh, having to give up a bonus like extra grenades or faster sprinting for an RDS was okay in my book as long as it allowed me to put it on all guns once unlocked.

Some servers has it a serverside option.
I only use iron holo or IRNV sights, and thats pretty much due to playing on a small tv, on PC I don't nor have ever bothered with add on sights. Except IRNV because it's silly not to use it.

I prefer the RDS and Holo, especially on the semi-auto snipers (love that they gave us that option). Not using the IRNV is silly indeed, I only have it on the 870 and M249 yet though.
Man is the knife bugged sometimes. I went to knife someone from behind and it hit him once and push him. He just turned around and popped me in the head. So much bullshit.
