I think the first sentence is the main issue tbh.Roc18 wrote:

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

Yeah that's the most extreme example lol but I see the same thing in other city maps like seine crossing and grand bazaar on a lower scale. It seems like everyone uses engineer in this game.Spark wrote:

it's partly to do with the crappier movement/engine in bf3. whereas in bf2 you could break-out of a chokepoint or tight spot using (yes, i know...) a trusty dolphin dive or acrobatic manouevre, in bf3 all you can do is slowly strafe outwards with your sights up. obviously having no lean and just having this rather unwieldy way of getting around, say, the middle alleyway in grand bazaar... it's just common sense, really, that people will rely on explosive splash damage. the game makes it very hard for you find any other viable (and successful) alternative.

I agree with you but, I also like the movement system. It does feel bad at times but it feels more legit than anything. I just wished the gameplay style matched it more with a slow pace than with the fast run and gun feel of the game.Uzique wrote:

I do just fine with assault rifles on Metro and Bazaar. Maybe it's a PC based issue?
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
It is because of the amount of players.
Edit: Now that I think about when in hell are we going to play a few rounds together? I should this weekend completely free.

yep, that goes without saying. game flaw numero uno: map-design blows. so much for "a game designed for pc gamers". anything over console-sized 24 man is an afterthought and a compromise at best. 32 players is just about bearable on most maps, and 40 will do for conquest large... but 64 is normally just a clusterfuck. i really do think that the biggest lie in recent gaming history is the "bf3 is a pc game" line. total marketing bullshit to deceive the bf2 playerbase. i don't see a single map or capture point layout that says to me 'pc game'. all i see are console-centric, claustrophobic clusterfucks.Naturn wrote:

I don't play much, I won't until I get my new monitor, which is sometime in the next 7 days. I'd love to play with you though. When I do get it I'll be on a lot more.Naturn wrote:

Sounds good. The PC version is getting... boring I guess is the best way to describe it. Not challenge for the most part. I have to keep creating things for me to do.-Sh1fty- wrote:

I can't wait to unlock the EOD bot and go for bomb arms/kills on Rush maps.
Every game I've ever played gets 'boring' without friends and creativity. There's fewer things more fun in online gaming than working with a friend to overcome an unstoppable opposing team or come up with hilarious ways to kill people.

Just crashed/froze 5 times in a row trying to play. Cool job on the server repairs, DICE. Fuckin faggots.

I haven't had any issues since the server repairs, maybe its not DICE side and something to do with your hardware?
is it crashing when you load multiplayer map?PigPopTart wrote:

If it is the solution is to open campaign and exit the game so the game could have a proper refresh. reinstalling the game wont help. took me 3 fucking hours to figure it out when i first got the game.
I think these maps need to be bigger... Great game, great balance, but there still seems to be a lot of rushing in to the fight, all guns blazing.
Most maps feel like the Karkand style of gameplay - which makes sense, because so many faggots played that map on 24hr repeat back in the day.

Karkand actually had 5 or 6 ways to go though. Over the hill, around the fence, down the cliff, etc etcPure_Beef_68 wrote:

In BF3 it seems that is condensed down to 2.
Karkand was the best BF2 map if you liked to play infantry over vehicles. Unfortunately jets and choppers just dominated every map that had them in BF2. And bigger maps only benefitted 2 things- vechicles and snipers. As the vast majority of players on a server wouldn't get a vehicle it was only natural that players would start gravitating towards maps like Karkand, where you could get into the fight anytime you wanted to.Pure_Beef_68 wrote:

In BF3 Metro is the only terrible map, and that's not becuase it's small. I find the general scale of the maps to be great. They can introduce bigger maps in future but I can almost guarantee that people will start teamkilling etc. for the jets on those maps.

What is your problem anyway Ken? You never do anything but focus that negative attitude on me every time you log in...
Been having no luck with my teams on team deathmatch... keep getting people that go 5-10. I'm not good enough on console to change the game myself, PC was much easier for me.
yeah I feel the same way...altho I play engineer alot and yes I use the rockets aswell but mostely because I like to be able to repair and steal a deserted disabled vehicleUzique wrote:
