DICE's Fredrik Thylander who is the senior game designer and person responsible for all the unlocks in the game has revealed on Twitter that players will be able to unlock 6 weapons in the co-op campaign for use in the multiplayer. He tells us that one of the weapon unlocks shall be the M39 EMR(see pic above) which was also known as the M14 Mod 0 in Bad Company 2. No details yet regarding the other weapons but with the launch only days away (USA) I guess we will know more soon.
The M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle (EMR) is a highly modernized M14 designed to be utilized by USMC designated marksmen. Issued with match-grade 7.62mm NATO long range ammunition the M39 is significantly lighter and more accurate than the original M14. The M39 is limited to Semi-Automatic fire, but supports a number of accessories including a standard Rifle Scope (8x)."

Speaking of which, someone grind co-op with me I'm halfway done. I just wanna get this shit over with before multiplayer takes up all my time.
i just love the fucking consistency. in the normal multiplayer they shower you with ranks, weapons, awards and ribbons just for being able to press w+mouse1 and mong your way around a fucking map. but to get a few other (crappy) unlocks you have to grind through the utter inane tedium of co-op for about 50 hours. amazing.Ilocano wrote:

I had a few but they were actually relatively simple
I have been having an insane amount of fun flying jets now that I have my stick working proper! and having a full squad of friends makes it all the better too. the rocket pods in the jets are worth the trade off for the heat seekers. guns are better for taking down planes with flares anyway. you can take out a tank in one pass with rockets if you switch to guns and finish them off. I will have the guided ATG missiles pretty quick. whoever says the jets suck compared to bf2 are out of their mind.
Well it refuses to start tells me that there is an error and I should re-install the game. I think I have to update a few things on my PC so I'm doing that now, (or was, I had to go to work,) and it may work for me after that. We'll see.

Apparently both ATI and Nvidia have specfic drivers for BF3.
Game is lots of fun, but I'm getting annoyed by the controller quickly.
Wednesday I buy a new TV screen, because I'm currently playing on a 480p CRT. I'll be getting a 20-24'' 1080p screen. Wednesday 2 weeks after that I'll get XIM3 and a mouse and keyboard.

I've played some glitchy shit in my time, but I think BF3 takes the gold.
And also, the amount of times I've died from the retard AI pushing me out of cover is astounding. Took me about 20 minutes to clear one patch of land...

Meh. Don't need it to play consoles. If I'm gonna play with mouse -keyboard I want the people I'm playin against to be using them to as well. So few people will have that, that it's not justified as far as I'm concerned. You won't be owning anyone, the mouse-keyboard will. Once they become more mainstream it will be worth it.
