apparently you can't move unless the server has the amount of players required for the game to "officially" begin. so much for playing around with the settings in an empty server.

BF2 had a perfect system. I want to feel the need for a screenshot of pride whenever I get promoted. I remember when I reached 1st Lieutenant in BF2, that took me forever and it was a huge feeling of gaming achievement. In COD4 I could care less when I rank up. I can reach 55 in under a week in S&D or high player TDMs.
