Playing on High/Ultra isn't a requirement to enjoy the game.
You get what you pay for, if you buy a low end computer then you can play BF3 on low settings, but the core gameplay remains the same.
Brings back the debate between gameplay and graphics. Would you refuse to buy a game because your computer couldn't play it on high settings at 60fps, and that it could only manage low settings and still get a decent framerate?
I know consoles are outdated and a new generation is a must, but really, my 360 has never caused me any trouble. Back when I played BF2 on PC, it took ages to download patches, find low ping servers, get the game to actually run, diagnose computer problems, etc. With the console, just power on, put the disc in, and play.
edit: Off topic question, but the "Back to Karkand" expansion thing you get when you pre-order the limited edition, can I just pick up a limited edition copy on Tuesday and still get the expansion pack? Or is it required that we have to preorder to get it?
