Well, then explain to me why someone like me, 44 years old without the reflexes of youth, on metro, is frequently getting the MVP3 and Ace Squad awards, while still keeping at least a 2.0 k/d, among the top in kills, while still arming and disarming m-coms.  BF3 has moved beyond BF2's arcade moves and hitbox tricks.  BF3 requires more tactics and teamwork.

I don't know how you do it but keeping at least a 2.0 K/D playing infantry while consistently arming/disarming mcoms is damn near impossible brah.

Obviously skill still matters.  If you are shit at aiming and controlling recoil, well, that isn't my problem.  But if I can aim well while you are running and trying your best to not get hit, I dont want BF2's deviation to nerf my aiming skills.

As for K/D, easy.  A combination of teamwork, use of cover, and shots that don't deviate.  After arming, don't just stay there, but run off to some corner where you can pick off anyone trying to disarm.  When going for an mcom, use suppression and concussions effects prior to charging in.

The radio beacon is the best new feature added to Rush.  Plant one close to the mcom's, and your side can constantly make pushes on the MCOM.  This works for both attacking and defending.  If I get killed, I can usually spawn back to save/arm again.

Easier said than done. Most people running up to an MCOM get mowed down by people camping it.

Yes, if you do it on your own.  Radio Beacon nearby.  Team keeps respawning on beacon and pushing into the room until all enemies are killed.

I don't think you should really compare BF2 with this game, they are almost completely different. The point you made about how the deviation ruins your aiming "skills" is ironic.

Apart from that, I agree with your tactics though, they work well in this game mode, and the radio beacon is very powerful when used correctly. I like this game, but the gameplay feels too different from 2.

Rush is definitely a different animal than Conquest.  Rush, practically everything is focused on one area.  Fun times if winning is more important than not dieing.

Conquest (non-IO), on the other hand, save for OP vehicles, rarely did you get even matched encounters.  Almost always, at a particular flag, one side or the other had the advantage.  Rarely did you spend your time directly facing off with the enemy.  Most kills were made when the enemy wasn't directly firing at you.  It was almost always about running around and getting the jump on someone.  Hardly ever were you willfully would put yourself in a situation where you engaged the enemy if they greatly outnumbered you.  You stayed hidden until they cleared out, or you went for another flag.  On Rush, you had no choice.  No place to run and hide against overwhelming odds.

As defenders, plant a mobile spawn point in first zone of Metro.
Wait till your team gets pushed back to the second zone.
Spawn on mobile spawn point.
Come up behind enemy and knife everyone that gathers at the bottom of the entrance tunnel

prolly

I would die for a true sequel like BF2 implemented on the Frostbite 2 engine with new maps and everything. This Bad Company 3 crap isn't doing it for me.

Forget the scope.  Go RDS or Holo with grip.  SVD/MK owns everything at any range (except the shotty:P), especially in close quarters.  And for long distance, pixel sniping.  But you really shouldn't spray just incase there are more than two enemies that you have to deal with.

And with supressor, keep killing the same squad again and again as they keep respawning on teammates.

And what's with the SKS?  Just seems to suck compared to the SVD and the MK.  Doesn't have the same killing punch?
