For an EPIC game that's the next installment of the best FPS series ever.
As pretty cool as this game looks, I'm definitely going to hold off on buying it until at least next summer. Can't have this shit getting in the way of school work and proper socialization.
Big assumption based on the text ... "Battlelog IS the PC main menu. You go straight from Battlelog to playing. No splash screens, no menus. Just straight to the playing". Does not mention a browser.menzo wrote:
there will be no in game server browser, everything is one with battlelog

Demize confirmed the M16A3 and M16A4 will be in the game. I wonder what the difference between the two will be, and which will be the starting weapon.
I'm hoping that the M16A4 is the starting weapon. I really enjoy how faction-specific weapons shape the game. One the one hand, you'll have the USMC with accurate M16A4s that are better suited in longer range combat, and the Russians with medium range inaccurate AKs.
It won't be that way though most likely.
I wonder what the difference between the A3 and A4 will be besides being full auto vs burst. Maybe the A3 is less accurate or does less damage? How would you guys have differentiated the two, or would you have even implemented an A3 if it were up to you?

That is incredible! The landscape looks so beautiful and thick with vegetation. I can't wait to see what that'll look like with 64 players. I think that video will also show anybody thinking the map is small that it is in fact huge.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
Hey imma gonna get in the choppa and switch to 3rd person view and then crash land...-Sh1fty- wrote:

WTF why didn't he fly it around a bit to give us an idea of the handling/map size fucking noob.
Although I must admit this does look reasonably promising.
Yeah he didn't show much off in the video besides landscape.
From what I saw the helicopter mechanics didn't look to great. It didn't seem to have any "weight" to it but rather was being "held up" by a puppeteer. I don't know if that makes any sense. Anyways, not too excited for the helicopters.

I remember the feeling of pre-BF2. I played the demo to death.
i was playing Desert Combat. 1942 was still fun. bf2 was a surprise, bf3 should be
more of the same.

I made my parents get broadband so I could get BF2...Superior Mind wrote:

I remember being underwhelmed by the demo.
That changed. Fast.

Bf:V at that stage was released for a month or so, so suddenly there was an influx of new players who were the pizza hut noobs.
It was a good deal tbh.
Not bad, pizza hut wouldn't be my first choice however.AussieReaper wrote:
