It's was the first thing which was annoying me when I moved onto BF2. But I got used to it a bit, SVD is a bit of remedy, but that 's got serious limitations at close range.

I cannot go Rambo style and wipe out entire teams because the bloody bullets don't hit the targets no matter how precise you are.

The shitty reg of BF2 has two sides. Of course it sucks to not hit what you aim at but then again good players can avoid getting killed by mastering their movement. Despite all the retarded restrictions the patches added, there are few games where movement matters as much in combat as it does in BF2 (Well besides quake and its offspring). And the significant random deviation of most guns serves the purpose of restricting ranged battles. Imagine if you could snipe with assault rifles or even SMG's BC2-style in BF2. That would be horrible. Every round would be like the Karkand train wreck - gatehouse battle.

Best thing in bf2 no one knew about was that when someone went prone their hitbox snapped to the ground a millisecond after they hit the prone key, so their head would be where their feet where during the animation of them going prone, nooblets always used to ask me how i won 100% of 1on1's by oneshotting them when we both went prone lulz

I was such a nub in first days on my BF2 career. But to figure out hitboxes was not on the top of my list. I was new to BF, usnig vehicles/fighting against them was new to me. It took me a few days/weeks to learn/adapt.
