So, I booted up BF2 the other day and I have these lines on each screen ( Not going fullscreen duh) and their about an inch or two from each side to the game screen.

How can remove these 2 black lines when I boot the game up?

So you have a widescreen monitor and the game is starting in 4:3?

Battlefield 2 does not have native widescreen support. To force a custom resolution, edit your game shortcut so it looks like the following:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1.15 +widescreen 1 +szx (xresolution) +szy (yresolution)

Edit the numbers after '+szx' and '+szy' to match your desired resolution. '+szx' is horizontal and '+szy' is vertical.
