Wow.
That was awesome. It just shows how great a Halo film would be.

And seeing how District 9 was with Peter Jackson in the mix, how awesome it would've been if he'd directed it like originally planned.FFLink wrote:

Ditto. The multiplayer is good, but halo has always been about single payer for me. I really hope they make a halo movie. Not based on the games though, based on the books. The story is so rich from so many prospectives and it has so many different levels to go off of: Ground battles, space battles, humans vs covenant, flood vs everyone, covenant vs human colonies, forerunner installations, ODSTs, spartan IIs, spartan IIIs, the outer colony rebellions, etc. There is so much here with the potential for so many epic scenes.Poseidon wrote:
I only really played Halo for the SP
It IS Halo 3. Just with a different plotline perspective and an expanded multiplayer.XanKrieger wrote:
Can't wait for this game, looks like it is shaping up to beat Halo 3 by my standards, it's all well and good playing a super solider but playing a mortal as part of a squad is gonna be tremendous fun.
Just FYI this guy is almost what I mean with these casual gamers, if he wasn't here and was under 15 then he would fit the mold perfectly.Poseidon wrote:

Don't try to apply logic to halo, you'll get a headache.Noobpatty wrote:
1. Screw nightvision, at this point every soldier would have integrated heat vision along with it.
2. In that ODST advert, what's up with the silenced smgs? They're being dropped into a god damned war zone.
3. The 'assault rifle' still doesn't have sights?
4. I'm assuming even though your SMG will have a nice fancy sight attachment you won't be able to use it.
Besides the point, do want. Looks like it'll be a blast.
True, agree with you hereNoobpatty wrote:

They were supposed to be jumping onto and silently infiltrating a covenant cruiser, but it jumped into slipspace before they could land.Noobpatty wrote:

The books explain that there is a link up between the gun and the visors in the soldiers' helmets (the little eyepatch viewer for the standard maries) that produces a crosshair in the visor (brilliant way to explain the crosshair in the game imo)Noobpatty wrote:

You can zoom with the silenced smg similar to the pistolNoobpatty wrote:

Yep, Halo definitely did the "helmet as HUD" thing first.-=]NS[=-Eagle wrote:

It says to me like this game is gonna be a "serious" version of a Halo game. With all other games, you've basically been invincible and just waltzed through shootin' shit and saying some bad-ass lines. This game seems to be more... "Drama" based, and "War-like". I fully believe this, as of the voice acting cast (and my love for Firefly).Ty wrote:
Urgh, this all seems wrong.
Okay so first, this live-action "trailer" has NOTHING to do with the game, how it's allowed to be shown as a trailer for the game is questionable. This is just Bunjie/Microsoft noting that Peter Jackson and Weta's "sample" footage to the Halo movie boosted sales of the game so they're trying to replicate that here. The point remains that this is akin to showing you footage of "Windtalkers" to get you to buy Battlefield 1943. It's irrelevent to the game. I'm seeing people say "Wow, I'm so getting this now." What? Why?
(This doesn't happen so much here at bf2s but I'm seeing it elsewhere.)
Don't show me a Lexus and sell me a Toyota.
Hell I as getting the game either way. I'm happy about this trailer because it will re-ignite the Halo-movie flame that so desperately needs fuel.Ty wrote:

I'm not sure what makes it , it's live action, big whoop.SEREMAKER wrote:
fkn trailer was ........ how could you not get exicited about this
yes we know there won't be a movie ... what we are saying is that the trailer is fkn
it has everything to do with the game .......... why you ask ......... bc the trailer was fkn
I think a movie would be a great idea, everybody loves halo so everyone would buy tickets. They don't even need to waste money on good actors or directors, as the name itself will sell.Hell I as getting the game either way. Anyways, I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm, but not entirely, seeing as iirc you are a halo fan.
