Never said it was their job. I said I don't give shit if they vent their very human frustrations and emotions and adrenalin on people such as this in scenarios such as this.ghettoperson wrote:
That wasn't the only thing that I thought. And in fact I don't really care that he got kicked in the head. It was more that you seem to think that it's the job of the police to punish criminals. Would you prefer it if the cops just shot all the perps?lowing wrote:

Every time I read one of Lowing's posts he always amazes me with his views of the world. It's like he's a troll whose only purpose is to argue the exact opposite of what's rational.
actually the only thing that is irrational here is the views you all have, after watching a high speed chase, down the wrong way of a one way street endangering the police and the citizens in the area ending in a car crash and a foot chase through a neighborhood and all you can think of is OMG that cop kicked that guy. If anyone here is fucked up, it is you bud.
Much better to release that anger on the criminal than on the wife and kids at home.
your lack of spoken concern as to the well-being of the innocent in this chase and your very clear opinion as to the treatment of the criminal pretty much speaks for itself.

And AGAIN if they make a mistake and vent their frustration yadayada on a totally innocent person in the wrong place at the wrong time? What you gonna say then ? OOPS sorry? That doesn't fucking cut it. There is absolutely no need for the police to take the law into their own hands. They jeopardize the case and invite lawsuits.
Just arrest the douchebag. He was down and immobile. No need for the kick, the flashlight or the dog no matter how deserving you think he is.

you have your opinion and then there is real life. Cops are human, when their lives are threatened they are going to react severely to it, and I have no problem with it.Stubbee wrote:

The point is, it is a non-issue. Why do you care if this idiot gets kicked in the head or not? I can promise you a cop will never whip my ass because I have no intention on forcing an ass whipping upon myself like running from the cops at 90 mph down a one way street going the wrong way and smashing into another car ( hit and run by the way) anyone of you think to ask if the other person was ok before you criminalize the cops for kicking this guy? Or is your only concern this guys well being and how we all failed him?
1) I don't care if he gets kicked in the head or not, I was just saying that the cop didn't need to kick him, they probably just wanted to.
2) I'm not trying to criminalize the cops in any way, they do a high stress job and most of the time they get it right, their only human.
3) I don't even know where you got this part from.
Sure is bitter in here.
Nope, lowing is a guy who is trying to work hard, raise a respectable responsible family. Recognizing that their is a criminal element out their endangering our society I give latitude to those that decided to live their lives in the service of others to try and protect us from that element.Man With No Name wrote:

If a kick to the head is all this guy got after what he has done, he should feel lucky, for I think it shows great restraint on behalf of the the police for not doing what they were probably thinking they would like to do.
Wouldn't it be cool though if Lowing actually was Judge Dread? I'd probably be willing to waiver my dislike of vigilantism if I could say that I knew the guy that roamed the streets at night, finding criminals and bringing swift justice to them in the form of a bullet to the head.
*dreams*
Also, how good would Lowing look in tight leather?

That's ok, it encourages young hoodlums to attack you, at which point you shoot them in the face.
If I get attacked, count on it, if they don't kill me first.ghettoperson wrote:

But in THIS case the officer is being threatened by the guy lying prone on the ground? Is the guy THAT baddass? FFS the officer has the gun, has backup around the corner including a fucking German Sheppard. MAybe you advocate tying the guy up and having the police go at him with rubber hoses for an hour. A free beating with every arrest! YEAH just like all those wonderful third world countries. I guess it must be your plan to make all those immigrants feel right at home in the good ole US of A!lowing wrote:

Dude, in real life, go live in a 3rd world country and blog about it. Be sure to pack the KY though. I don't know where you got lost, lowing, but I pity you and any offpsring you poison with your attitude.

Nope, the officer just caught the guy who was a threat to him and others. He is pissed off and rightfully so. I acknowledge that we charge the police to deal with the assholes of our society so we do not have to. It can be a tiring, (and in the case of people such as yourself) and thankless job. If this cop vented a bit after what he has been put through so be it.Stubbee wrote:

Not sure what 3rd world countries has to do with this but ok.
Don't pitty me or my kids, we are doing just fine being productive members of society. I appreciate your concern though
Also, not sure how I am the one that is "lost". I am not one of the criminals hurting innocent people, nor am I in prison.

When A guy is spread eagle face down on the ground, why did they have to let the dog in to have a bite?
My town was full of Joyriders a few years ago and unfortunatly my idea never got listened too with any real respect.
If you steal a car and thus put the lives of others in danger when you get caught I will cut the tip off one of your fingers (your choice), I bet you that would stop most re-offending, and make a lot of shits think twice. Harsh but fair I feel.

Second, let's not blame all cops just because some of them are assholes. I am friends with a lot of good people who happen to be cops.
No, it isn't. It's the court's job to punish the guy, not the cop's job. Hover, I will admit that this guy to tried to speed away in a stolen car getting kicked in the shoulder really doesn't bother me at all.Finray wrote:

So yeah back on the topic of US coppers beating the shit out of people check out what they did to this guy while he was unconscious.

And here is a pic of the guy.

he did come pretty close to running one of them over, in the cops defense, I would be in a rage if someone tried to run over one of my buddies. But still he was well unconcious when the first one started beating him.... the rest was just massive overkill.m3thod wrote:

That and evidence tampering, also a crime, unless you think its OK for the police to manipulate evidence too.
Giving latitude - allowing Police officers to commit crimes - is probably more dangerous to society than any criminal element.lowing wrote:

Tell ya what you go ahead and take your chances with your beloved criminals, and will take my chances with the police. Betcha I sleep better.
If you knew what I knew about corrupt Police officers you wouldn't sleep at all.

How can officers be corrupt when the system they support is based on corruption?lowing wrote:

" distraction blow " pffft...
Most public interaction with The Blue is not based on public safety, it is based on revenue collecting by greedy, corrupt politicians.
I would go even further; the politicians are obviously favoring the good of the banker over what is good for the people. The politicians make themselfs immune from many of the laws they write. They are being paid illegally gotten cash from bankers lobbyist and crafting law and policy that guts our finances and hands it over to bankers. You could in my view dismiss the police as bankers thugs and not be overly cynical.
If the police have an issue with the way the feds have failed in protecting the border and allowing millions of criminals in that they have to deal with let them say something, anything about illegal immigration.
The police is silent about this because the federal government is providing much of the funding, especially for the militarization of the police. They tow the line.
So, fuck 'em.
