The thing is, competitive scene represents less than 5% of TF2 community, they don't use unlocks in matches, and they are so pro they don't need/want to use unlocks in pub games either.

Well actually my concerns that I voiced weren't representative of the competitive scene at all; the widespread whining and hating of 'x' unlocks and the general lack of arena-gametype play isn't because of that small 5% minority... the public-playing majority have collectively given it the thumbs down, which is why I fail to care when Valve spend a 3 month cycle developing 2 month pointless arena maps that will never get used.
