No ones died in the US though.

Over 500,000 people every year die from regular flu around the world.

Fail. Someone did die in the US, although they were here only for medical treatment

At my soccer game, when everyone lined up to shake hands and say good games, we weren't allowed to.

We had to form two lines and walk past each other nodding our heads saying 'Good Game'.

I didn't hear about this game until I saw the post. It's fun, but replayability rapidly dies out. There's only so long I can stare at the world map with predictable (if random) results.

I've heard that vaccines sometimes fail, but I've never had one turn out to be unsuccessful yet, even with maximized drug resistance. I'd also like to be able to choose my starting region...and have an option to spend evolution points on a cure-defying resurgence. But so far, the game's about holding out as long as possible before releasing a zombie apocalypse on the world (insanity and necrosis). Once you get as many regions infected as you can manage, hit them with those symptoms until the hospitals just shut down and turn the estimated cure into 2000+ days, in which time you'll probably wipe out all the regions until you run out of victims.

What's the most irritating, however, is how closed transportation and borders somehow restrict the travel of a virus that's air, water, insect and rodent-bourne.
