This may sound a bit crazy but I was thinking about it today. What if we Quarantine Africa? Just the countries around Egypt on downward? I mean every so often a really horrible disease comes from there like AIDS or Ebola. Also it is a haven for terrorism and they tend to kidnap people there a lot and half the damn continent is in civil war. So to prevent any diseases from coming out of there and wiping out millions of people how about we just get together and cut off the place from the rest of the world? Like put ships around the coast from every country with orders to force people to go back into Africa and put a bunch of soldiers around Egypt to prevent anyone from getting in.
Any problems will eventually work themselves out there and lets say in 20 years we might open it back up or send explores to see what is going on. Also we could use it as a prison sorta for child rapist and other incurable criminals. Sorta just air drop them like paratroopers into africa with a gun and some food and let them figure it out. It may turn out well.
The hard part is figuring out how you could possibly have enough manpower to do such a thing. Africa is currently too large to effectively quarantine, although perhaps something could be worked out with local corporations.
my idea was a full scale invasion of africa and turn it into one giant wind and solar farm. i mean why not, plenty of workers who need jobs.
