Frags were good but many focused on jump shots. If there are any decent CoD2 players about, is it really that easy? If it is, then a game with constricted movement can't have such accurate weapons. If it isn't, the shots are just spread luck and make half the frags bullshit.

A number of reasons, no gun noises being one of them. Editing at the start wasn't that great, didn't make me want to watch more, couple that with the meh-ish frags and I quit at about 1-2 mins into the action.

Meh, I would disagree. WE ARE is an awesome vid, no doubt, but I'm not all that impressed by a ton of players with 1 or 2 awesome clips each. Decerto has a lot of players too, but more clips for each, and all (or nearly all) of them are known players playing against known teams. I recognized a lot of names from WE ARE, but there were alot of clips from guys and teams iv never heard of, and I consider myself decently knowledgeable about COD E-sports.

I'm sure there are plenty of perfectly good reasons why I'm wrong in every way, and I may very well be, just stating my opinion.

People still playing CoD2 competitively make me lol a little. They remind me of the 'ultra leet' rifle-only CoD1 clans that remained in the scene up until very recently... it's not hard to be 'top of your game' when you're playing a game no other competitive teams care about anymore. When a competitive scene shrinks to such a degree, it's easy to look amazing compared to other players.

Not denying they're good players though, some of the guys still ripping it up are old contacts and team-mates of mine. Just as many of them are egotistical fucks though that will never attempt to learn a new game and give up their leetness-- they were like that back then and they no doubt still are living in their bubble now.

The vCod rifle-only clans and prem-sponsored teams were the teams and multigaming organisations that really killed it, back when CoD2 genuinely did have a competitive community. CoD4-noobler teams trying their hand at the WW2 thing retrospectively, naaah. The massive influx of noobs that picked up CoD2 during the "omfg cod4&cod:waw sux!" revolution has lowered the average skill of a CoD2 league significantly, haha.
