They weren't scheduled to. This was already postponed before.. they moved it to tonight... and now it's pushed back again, due to the fuel leak.

Columbia disintegrated. Challenger exploded on launch. Hence why I didn't mention Columbia.

I still remember being told that "Columbia blew up" by my mother back in '03 and thinking she meant the country, lol.

Then I remember going to Hebrew school (lol) and hearing this huge speech from our principal about Ilan Ramon.

Christ, they were alive? Fucking hell. That makes it 10x sadder.

And yeah, I noticed they check the underbelly of the shuttles now. It almost seems like a common occurrence that they find a chip broken off from the belly though.

I'm presuming NASA TV will be an OK place to watch...dunno if the news channels are gonna care. It's just like Apollo 13.***

Here's a link I found about last Wednesday's scrubbed liftoff. I assume it should pertain to tonight's liftoff also.

I'm on the edge of being able to see it, if the damn cloud cover doesn't lift, I wont get to see it.

It's launching right at sunset now. I don't know if that classifies as a night launch.

I know, I'm in Johnson City, TN and we're right on the edge of being able to see it. The satellite looks clear between Nashville and Knoxville, just don't know if it will clear in time.  

I'll give it a look if it goes up tonight, but I'm not expecting to be able to see anything.

I have seen the shuttle and ISS fly over the house twice before, both times the shuttle had just undocked from the ISS, it was pretty cool to watch them zip across the sky.
