But it was terrible coming down tonight, not exactly gun in the face out the car terrible, but the PSNI were stopping practically every car in both directions all the way from Enniskillen to the Malone.

Loads of Police activity and checkpoints round where I live on Saturday past, apparently the whole town was cordoned off - not that I noticed tbh - word is there is back chatter of a 300 lb bomb being on the move from the Republic middle of last week, they originally thought it destined for an army barracks in Co.Down but as there was no explosion they must be expecting it to turn up else where..
A 300lb bomb fucking hell.IG-Calibre wrote:

Wasn't there a story recently, as in maybe a month or two ago, about a 300lb bomb in NI?

well this shit could of been pretty nasty
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ire … 050420.stmParts of 'very large bomb' found - The component parts of a very large bomb have been found near Rosslea in County Fermanagh, police have said.
Yeah was reading about that. Was in a beer keg wasn't it. We have been lucky. I am just waiting for a big one to go off soon. Every time I hear of a public event it goes through my mind. Like the North West Road race this weekend. Or even the Lammas Fair here in my home town. They found a bomb from those fucks on the street 5-6 years ago. 250 000 ppl in a town with a population of 5000, would have been a bloodbath. I worry.IG-Calibre wrote:

Its also worrying that I am hearing more republicans in bars and stuff actually coming out in support of these ppl recently.
Irish terrorism,.. ah,.. the good ol'days!

na, its just a way of hiding a big bomb loaded with nails and shrapnel. Thankfully these fucks haven't the skills that our more retired bomb maker have. I am waiting for the day when one of the IRAs proper bomb makers starts working for these fucks. Hast happened yet. The dissidents are still armatures compared to the IRA bomb makers.
Giant fragmentation bomb. I remember a nail-bombing years ago, was over here somewhere I think.JahManRed wrote:

another punishment shooting last night. This shit needs to be got on top of, though it was probably some scummy wee hood who had been robbin' pensioners or stealing cars..
A man in his 20s was being treated in hospital today after being shot several times in a paramilitary-style attack in Belfast.
He was shot in the knees and ankles in the communal hallway of a block of flats in the west of the city.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the shooting happened in the flats at West Link at around 11pm last night and appealed for anyone who saw any suspicious activity to contact them.
The man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
This fucking sucks, why do those fucking retards want to go back to the times of the troubles?
I am not liking living here at all, I will become paranoid before I become an adult

Apparently the natural enemy of the Real IRA is the Real Ghostbusters.
The committee said in a statement: "Having widely consulted its membership and grassroots loyalist communities throughout the region, we are withdrawing our support for the political institutions and the Police Service of Northern Ireland with immediate effect." they said that it felt that the decision had been forced on it for several reasons. Its statement said the "demonisation of loyalism in the region" and political apathy on social issues affecting loyalists were among its major concerns.Loyalist group ends political support. The North Antrim and Londonderry Regional Committee of the UDA's political wing, the UPRG, announced on Wednesday night that it was withdrawing its support for Northern Ireland's political institutions and the PSNI.
'Frustration'
The decision is said to show a growing frustration within some areas of loyalism.
The Coleraine branch of the UPRG was included in the decision. It comes amid simmering tensions in the Coleraine area after the sectarian murder of Kevin McDaid in May.
SDLP East Londonderry MLA John Dallat has condemned the announcement, saying it could not have come at a worse time for Coleraine.
"The people of this area and indeed all of the North have made it plainly clear they have no wish to return to the dark days of the Troubles.
"With the weekend that is ahead of us I would call for calm on all sides and ask those within loyalism to show leadership and responsibility.
"I am extremely concerned at tonight's developments," he added.
Despite the dramatic announcement, the decision is not expected at this point to have any impact on loyalist decommissioning.

On cue 5 Catholic Church's and a GAA club attacked last night these are the same people that beat McDaid to death a few weeks ago in Coleraine.
When it comes to various factions Ireland is like Africa, acronym central.
I still have absolutely no idea who is who.

According to spike TV the IRA is worse then the taliban

They're probably more organised than the Taliban, but matching up, the Talibs will have more cojones as they go toe to toe with coalition troops some times.Narupug wrote:

In terms of what they do to people, I'm not sure who takes the cake.
Any terrorist/freedom fighter who has a philosophy will have an almost endless amount of cojones because at the end of the day they aren't in it for the pay check. A more valid argument would be that the Taliban might be a more daunting proposition given that they don't mind blowing themselves up in their quest to take out the enemy, the IRA aren't so gung-ho.M.O.A.B wrote:
