Aren't you forgetting Gary Oldman, who gave the best performance in the Dark Knight. Ledger's performance was superb too and I think suggesting Christian Bale is a better actor than him is a little unfair...Poseidon wrote:

basically every actor named in this thread is better than ledger, there's even 2, possibly 3 better actors than Ledger in Batman.
And yes, there are 3 other actors in TDK who are better (Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Christian Bale) than Ledger was, but that's not to say Ledger wasn't one hell of an actor. TDK simply had a star-studded cast.
I didn't think his performance in American Psycho was anything special. His performance in The Insomniac was better if you ask me. In any case all Bale's performances are rather samey - you cannot say the same of Ledger who had pretty good range. Having a good range is the mark of a truly great actor.
