I was brought up on a mixture of The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Ruts, The Ramones, The Stranglers, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Angelwitch and numerous Ska bands
The Clash are good, but by no means the best of there kind

Their "I Fought the Law" is so motivational to me.

'Should I stay or should I go' their best song, wasn't amazing though. Wern't they Welsh or the lead singer was?
Bankrobber is my favorite
The Clash were awesome, favorite song is probably Clash City Rockers
I'm going to bump this rather than the "What Are You Listening to?" topic since this is much more epic.
On the playlist right now and not mentioned in here yet:

I'd say The Clash are pretty legit. I like 'em.
I'm not a big fan of the political songs that don't really rock. I can easily get behind "Clampdown", "Koka Kola", "Bankrobber" and such, but a lot of the other ones of the sort of "Know Your Rights" style aren't high on my list.
My favorite Clash song is Straight to Hell. I love the percussion in it.
