He's good at exaggerating the facts and telling you how bad the systems in America are.

Unless you plan on breaking some serious laws, you shouldn't notice any change in your daily life.
Cops aren't gonna raid your house if you're not using it to sell drugs.
The feds aren't monitoring your phone unless you call your friends in the Pakistani mountains.

Honestly the feds couldn't care less what you do as long as you pay your taxes on time.

When guns were banned in DC, we saw record high murder rates. We were murder capital of the US for a few years in the 90s.

I can see where he's coming from but the federal government provides a lot of shit for us:

-Highway funding (the no selling alcohol to under-21s law simply states that the federal govt will withdraw highway funding for any state that makes it lower. wonder why no states have made their purchase age under 21?)

-Military

-Infrastructure

And it does help us with stuff. Who knows when the DTV transition would have happened if it wasn't for the government mandating it? Hell, if I'm not mistaken the federal government funded ARPANET, without which we wouldn't be posting on this site right now.

It's my fucking choice if i want to eat a candy bar, just like its my fucking choice the accessories i would like to have on my god damn weapon of choice.

People seem to love to infringe on the fucking second amendment, Hows about we infringe on the first.

Fed: "Hey you don't need that internet blog, thats too much, here, have this tiny article in the back of the local newspaper instead"

I do support gun rights, but i also don't see why people are so worried about the police.  The second amendment says nothing about the police or federal monitoring, and altering those is withing the scope of the constitution.

Well are we debating about gun rights or about government control? cause it kinda turned into both so i answered about both
