The charges against suspected al-Qaida bomber Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri marked the last active Guantanamo war crimes case.

Last year, al-Nashiri said during a Guantanamo hearing that he confessed to helping plot the Cole bombing only because he was tortured by U.S. interrogators. The CIA has admitted he was among terrorist suspects subjected to waterboarding, which simulates drowning, in 2002 and 2003 while being interrogated in secret CIA prisons.

well, it was part of interrogations back then (legal).  still, none of that should be relevant.  dude was set to go on trial ffs.  if this was the other way around, they would just cut off his head in yemen or some other shit hole.

This guy is SUSPECTED of participating in the PLANNING of a bombing. He's not going home, either. He's staying in custody and could face the same charges again. Read the damn article.

What the hell is with you people being so eager to judge SUSPECTS and treat them as if they were CONVICTED?!
