I'm nearly finished with Godfather. Man, that's some serious good writing! The best book I ever read! Beat the living crap out of the movie!

What's the best book you ever read?

Best read for me has, and will always remain

Enders Game

Those that have read it will understand, those tha thaven't should read it.

One of my other favorite reads those was "The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" (all the books mind you)  Truly, truly a volume of human understanding of themselves and the universe

I haven't read too many books as of late, but I thoroughly enjoyed Jurassic Park as a kid. MUCH better than the movie.

If I'm ever incarcerated, I would rather spend my time reading encyclopedias over regular books.

The night angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. Not bad for his first novels.

I'm re-reading Watchmen now that I actually, y'know, understand what's going on.

Not really a "book" per se, but it's absolutely incredible.

...why?

And yeah, I preferred the Shadow series. Bean was a great character. The movie is apparently going to be from Beans perspective, iirc.

Larry Bond, aint bad, books are a little out dated, scenarios are a little far fetched at times, but still pretty damn good. (Hes the guy who co-wrote Red Storm Rising).

I read 'Dune' straight, off, think it took about 12 hours.
Not sure why, just found it riveting.

Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan.

or The Stranger by Albert Camus

or Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond

or People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.

Those are a few that I've read multiple times.

I liked The Stranger for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, but I don't like those books because I never feel that I walk away from it with the everything I can gain from it.
