I am complete fucking noob when it comes to working out. And since I have applied for infantry I need to go to the gym. my quesion to you is..................................... when I do Bicep Curls, Bench press, seated Row, Tricep Extension, Shoulder Press and so on I was told to do 3 sets of 8-10 reps. So for the sets do I do 3 sets of every thing at once or do I do one set of each then start all over again till I do it all 3 times?
I know its probably a stupid fucking question and I am very ashamed to ask.

Don't be ashamed.

In my opinion I would do all 3 sets of each excersise in succession.
You'll feel your muscles burn more, and that's what you want.

Ex: So for Bicep Curls:

Left Arm: 1 Set (10 Reps)
Right Arm; 1 Set (10 Reps)
Left Arm
Right Arm

etc.

give yourself 15-30 seconds inbetween.

Quick question about my running. I am running 4 laps (1600m or 1.6km) 5 times a week and I am a begining runner. I dont feel like I am getting any better. Like I can barely do 4 laps and I have been doing this for 3 weeks. So should I step it up or keep running my 4 laps?

Personally I think 5 times a week is overkill for a beginner, you'll find it difficult to improve if you burn yourself out.
I'd say drop to 3 times a week, and try and run a bit further; you don't have to improve by a full lap at once, just try and run a quarter of a lap further next time and do that twice. Then the following time add a quarter to that etc.

It will be a slow improvement and you won't notice, but after a few months if you compare yourself to when you started you'll realise you're a lot fitter.
