BF2S Forums what army group is the best in the world?

That secret one that nobody knows about because they're so damn good.

PLA would kill everyone.they have J-10s,this isn't even close.

SAS are prob the best counter-terrorism, but to be fair many other CT/SF units havn't had a chance to prove their ability.

check Iranian Siege for example.

Question: what army group is the best in the world?
Possible Answer: If in fact you mean an "Army Group", than I believe only proven armys can claim title to worlds best.
Most seem to argue the following:
CENTAG and NORTHAG - NATO (Cold War), many historians seem to like these two although they never actually went into combat.
Von Rundstedt’s Army Group South - Germany (WW2)
Montgomery's 21st Army Group (WW2)
Eastern Army Group - USSR (WW2)
6th Army Group - US (WW2)

i watched this award ceremony for the British Army and the people there were referring the British Army as 'the best in the world'
however i do agree that the SAS is ONE OF the best

You don't take into account the SEALSs, 1st SFOD-D, Green Berets, GSG9, Mossad etc
They are some of the best in the world in specific areas

for instance:
SAS: CQC Comabt
SEALS: Amphibious Assault
Mossad: Counter Terrorism, Intelligence and Assassinations

I don't really rate America special forces they've not really had a large success rate. Don't get me wrong here they have some fantastic kit and some very good soldiers but l would not put there SF on that high a par as other country's SF. Mossad now that's a special force and a half! Did you know that in the 60's they went to Argentine bimbled in kidnapped a Adolf Eichmann, took him back to Israel and hung him! Now that's hard core!

As for the SAS along with other British SF groups like the SBS. Yes they are very good at what they do. During the 50's they were sat on the Soviet border during the cold war watching sat elite launches. They were thrust into the limelight during the Iranian embassy siege.

To the jock that seems to be getting his knickers in a twist. The SAS are slightly Scottish as the chap that formed them a Sir David Stirling was in fact a member of the Scots Guards. Some people think that the SAS is full of jocks and l think that's because the British Army have a large number of Jocks in and l think that's down to the unemployment rate up yonder. I've met a few and none of them were Jocks.

My view which is going to be biased the British Army is one of the best in the world we punch well above are weight on the world stage. I think the only other Force that punch above there weight is in fact the Israelis.

Well are we talking best training, best equipement, quality, quantity? Because there's alot of military organizations trained to be better a certain things. You may think SF is better but they won't have tanks or planes or arty n stuff. Are we talking all around?
