I was hoping to go dove hunting this year, but there's no point due to the drought. I haven't even bothered to get my license.

we had a really mild winter last year so the deer population is going to be even bigger this year
also supposed to be a great year for rabbits/grouse... which also boosts the coyote population so it's going to be an season for sure

I'd like to go hunting, but for the purpose of actually catching something to eat, rather than just to kill for the thrill.
i eat most of what i kill, although some coyotes are too skinny to do much with other than be bait for more coyotes/bear
and you can't really eat crows, but i still knock them out of the sky by the truck load lol
