Who here skis? Post some pics of your equipment/where you've been skiing.

I've been alpine skiing since I was about 4 or 5. I raced for 2 years. Now I try to get out when I can (lift tickets are getting friggin expensive)

been skiing since i was 4; coz i only went once a year I didn't actually get good till I was about 14 i.e carving correctly with near perfect parallels. Haven't been in a year now so wish I grew up in somewhere like Canada so I could have gone all the time.

Haven't had any skis as I only used to go once a year and have only stopped growing in the last year or two. Got some boots two years ago but haven't had the chance to wear them since last time I went skiing. Used to go dry skiing every week with my mates but don't have the time any more.

I don't have pics of my skis atm (they're not here right now), but I have the newest Atomic GS12's (fuck they're awesome. Even coming from the GS11's I notice a nice improvement) and a pair of K2 Public Enemy's for powder/woods/jumps. They are crap for anything else, lol.

And I borrow my Dad's skis whenever I feel like doing something else (2009 Atomic SL12, SG12 and som fucking epic Zag Gold powder skis).

edit - as for ski poles: Leki all the way.

Yeah, I don't get to ski until Easter. Damn uni and vacation starting late. I'll probably hit up the snowdome in Manchester a few times before I go; they tend to have a nice little jump out and some rails. Might see about doing a weekend in Scotland in Febuary.

On and off since 4, bout 12 years. Havent owned anything for years now since i havent stopped growing yet and shits damn expensive to buy every season. Should be heading to sportchek in the next couple of weeks though. Aside from that there's over a dozen quality resorts within a 3 hour drive, but with the exception of Nakiska and Panorama once each, ive been exclusive to Sunshine Village, which has unfortunately been overrun with Aussies since '02.

To get the best out of Engelberg, you need to leave the piste. It has some of the best off piste in Europe. That said, it's one of the few European resorts I haven't skied, so I'm only going by reputation.
