North Belfast loyalist Mark Haddock has been arrested in jail for questioning about a murder in October 2000.

UDA member Tommy English, 40, was shot dead during a loyalist feud.

Haddock is due to be released from Maghaberry prison later this month after serving a 10-year sentence for attacking a nightclub doorman.

It is understood that he was arrested in the prison on Wednesday morning and is now being questioned at Antrim police station.

Haddock has been linked by the police ombudsman to more than a dozen murders.

Last month, two brothers from Newtownabbey admitted aiding and abetting the murder of Tommy English.

Nah not really I dont mean to sound like a pedantic cunt (Mr P's phrase so credit to him) but I knew what the headline ment.

You can be sent down for one thing and later tried for another.

yea if u are in jail and evidence points you out, then yes, they will walk up to your pod/cell (whatever) and tell you to place your hands behind your back, arrest you. and give u the whole "You're Under Arrest for 'blah'" bit.

why is that stupid? It's a total different and not to mention extremely violent and serious crime.  It doesn't matter where you are when you are arrested.
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
