Server 2: 85.236.100.34 : 16667 (currently running Karkand, Sharqi and mashtuur (16 & 32), 24 slots)

All pretty good there are lots of them, but what makes a server good???




I'd say map rotation vs size and # of players.

Map rotation:
- A non-rotation or a 2 or 3 map rotation is fine if they are all the same type of map.

What makes a bad map rotation... switching between karland to cleansweap to sharqui to oil fields. I'd say migrate from one map to another like

karkand --> sharqui or mash

from the above go to something like dragon, wake or the power plant one rotate between these then either go back to karkand type or towards something like oilfeilds or cleansweep

Side switching:
- I hate servers that don't side switch you play 3-5 rounds as china or US on dragon valley get boring.
- I like 2-3 rounds where teams are switched between games.

Auto-Balance:
- Auto-balance is a good thing, I hate when your down 15 to 11 on a server. Ea should implement some type of # player biase. Where if your out numbered by % each kill is 1 + % kills.

Ping:
Ping changes depending on location, but when a server is full kick 2 people at the beginging of the round with the highest ping. ALso during play if you ping drops below ??? 3 times you get kicked.

I feel for people with high ping but it destroys play for the rest of us with decent systems. I you can't maintain a <150 with an average of say 60-90 find a different server.

Kick votes and TK punish:
- These are things that should never be disabled, make it 5 punishes for a kick if you want.

Voice:
Not nessarily team speak but all servers should have voice enabled. I even go as far as kicking people without it on a server.

Teamplay:
I like the servers that cycle, join a squad

Idlers:
There is nothing worse than idle people on a server.

Long wait times:
If you have to wait 60 seconds for people to load chances are your on the wrong server where people have high ping.

Game lengths:
I like all games with 300 points.

if youlive in scandinavia search for tv.

tv2 servers are good

LOL.  YOu can't really judge this because everybody in the BF2s forums is from all over the world.    But I usually go on the EA US Official WC servers...since I am on the west coast.

70.86.173.154 fhm clan. base raping is allowed and encouraged. dont have to worry about nazi admins telling you how to play your game unless your a tk'er

Hey at what ping does your server kick? Is it in US? If its 300, i would come:P

FMG have good servers...low pings, always full (a good thing) and don't have that many noobs that will TK for stuff.

I play A LOT on FMG Mashtur 24/7, love that server!
