(it better be good, if it's just ok then i'd much rather pirate it like everything else)

buying good music > torrenting good music (listen to it again and again, if it's good it benefits the artist)

torrenting bad music > buying bad music (stops you wasting your money, if it's good then buy it)

also it's a gift voucher so it's not like i've just set aside money

I concur. They don't follow standard pop music sound structure so you listen to it more than once without getting bored.

Yah, not meaning to digress into some discussion on piracy... but every self-respecting pirate has the conscience-clearing defense of "I buy the band merch and go to their live shows, more direct income!". Also, there's not really any 'benefit' to buying music encoded at 192kbps/320CBR CD quality when you can download it in ripped-vinyl OGG/FLAC format that spanks the audio clarity and sound of CD. Free OGG/FLAC > £15 outdated CD encoding, sorry.

Um, CDs are 1411kbps raw data. It doesn't get much clearer than CD.

And 192kbit MP3 isn't CD quality.
