Well I didn't hear anything about a gas riot in the clip, but if he did say that he was wrong.

The problem I have with this clip is not that this guy is "predicting" all these crises, its the fact that a lot of the things he talks about have been discussed before. It's not that these types of very smart people are few and far between; its that the media and power elite would rather put forward their own stooges to soothe the people and tell them not to worry, buy more, etc. I mean, come on- they (media) spend countless dollars and hours convincing us to pay and toe the party line, then bring this guy out as if he is Nostradamus. They (media and power elite) feed us bullshit by the ton and then expect us to be wowed when someone with clear knowledge and insight is allowed to present his case like he's some kind of economic Kreskin.

What book is he trying to sell? Things are looking better...

1. Interest rates are at a 34 year low.
2. Gas is under $1.60/gallon
3. Many deals can be found at stores
4. Home prices are down where you can actually afford them
5. You can get a VERY good deal on a car right now
6. Stocks aren't over valued right now...the P/E ratios of them are where they were in 2004 and so actually worth buying some of these companies
7. If your business has reserves, its now best to start buying up your competition and expanding. Any good business that's not month to month.
8. If you're a business this is where you out innovate your competitors and drive them out of business.

Granted its not 2007, but these business cycles are cyclical every 7-11 years.

What's funny is that people were doom and gloomers saying the same thing in 1987 after the stock market crash.
