Actually, we've been blessed with the absence of the kind. But here's my rant anyway:
There are of course small concentrations of immigrant kids who think they're Ja-Rule, thinking they "own the street", dress in Fubu and have this very idiotic looking style of tucking one of their pantlegs in their socks. What's up with that? I mean, I understand if you're riding a bike and you don't want to get chaingrease on your clothes but otherwise? Then there are naturally the fanboy spoiled brats from rich families who imitate the style, making it even worse. I can't wait for the financial crisis to sink in. Hey, dress like you want to dress, but don't look condescendigly at me - you're the one who look like you inherited your clothes from your morbidly obese cousin. The bad thing about these is that they really think they own the street at 17-18. Other kids their age need to look out and preferrably walk on the other side of the street - and that sucks dogs bollocks. I'm glad that I'm tall and old enough to show my lack of appreciation to their attitude without having to run like Forrest Gump afterwards.
Then we have the "pimp my rusty Japanese shoppingbag"-people, still listening to Scooter and Mr. President, gathering at gas stations so that you can't even go buy a pack of cigarettes from a gas station with your stock-non-pimped car (which still is at least 12 years newer than the 200SX or Corolla they spent all their money on) without getting looked at like you're "out of your place". Then, when I leave the gas station, at least one has to follow me and challenge me to a drag race. Goddamit. I can hear the techno over the roar of their "Tuning exhausts" which probably reduce the power instead of adding it, not to speak of the fact that my eyes are bleeding over the sloppy neon paint job and sideskirts that were probably fitted with blu-tack and cable ties. That's how they win their races, by distracting you. And for what? A speeding ticket? I didn't make a bet, did you make a bet? When you happen to drive faster than these guys at "normal speed" on the street, they see your overtaking as mockery towards them. No, I'm just in a hurry, not in the mood for driving against your Fast and the Furious-wannabe Ford Escort. Hey, if I'd want to challenge you, I'd probably do it in something else than a 1.6 litre normal aspirating medium sized family hatchback, ok? Can't these guys style their car so that it looks good, not like you had days of nothing to do but to edit cars playing NFSU? And the Euro-techno - it's not compulsary if you have a tuned car, you know.
Every group raises frowns when they take "their thing" into overkill-gear. Moderation, good people!
