at the end of the summer... he has saved up enough to buy the hottest new graphics card... So he goes to the Newegg site and finds the NVidATI Turbo ultra card(500 bucks)... and clicks add to shopping cart... a window pops up and says... thank you for choosing this card but...we are changing your card selection to a fx5200(that should be ok for you we hope?)   We will send out 4 more fx5200(100 bucks a piece) cards to other people across the country that didn't work all summer... I hope this makes you feel patriotic and thank you for shopping Newbama egg...

Some conservatives don't really care about those who are genuinely trying their utmost and don't seem to care about misfortune punishing those undeserving of punishment when measures might be taken to mitigate such things, everyone pulling through together and mutually benefiting from such actions in the medium term. They also don't understand that too large a gap between rich and poor will ultimately destroy the system, a 'healthy' sustainable gap being more appropriate. Ultimately when the poor are a vast majority they will outvote and overthrow the oligarchy. Some conservatives also place far too much trust in people whom they can't even elect: the owners of business and capital, all too ready to export their jobs to India and to reduce people to mere subsistence living in the interests of 'competition'.

Don't confuse conservatism with the Republican Party. They are not one and the same right now.

You and other were the ones so upset and could not believe that I would say such things and used it as proof that I was greedy, and unfeeling toward people in general.  get it right.

4. You are generalizing Cam, A no no, your idea that the poor are all just victims of "the man" and have nothing to do with their own situations is naive and lack intelligence. Any questions?

5. Nope, your ass is really trying to tell me that in a healthy economy, Obama WOULD NOT be trying to "spread the wealth". You are trying to tell me that this is his temporary fix for a temporary problem and that when it is resolved, everyone gets back what they earn and he will no longer want to implement a page from Karl Marx's "manifesto". Naive and lacks intelligence. The liberal agenda in America IS to create EXACTLY a reliance on govt. over self reliance. Govt. dependency is what liberals want. The more they have you under control the more power they extract.

I know.  Well not about a good card cause I donate my old ones, I don't understand how the poor could still need more...  However,  I am getting printed and photoed -then paying for a silencer tomorrow!  Why?  It's just a silencer.  I digress, the point is though they are out of stock. USA Gun Rights FTW!  90 day wait FTL.  If you have to wait 90 days to make your gun less annoyingly loud then that just tells me there's too much bureaucracy in government.

Really it started when banks sold high risk/high stupidity loans and these were repackaged and sold-on to other banks as safe loans backed by the govt.
Banks need to be regulated, or their CEOs will find ever riskier ways of earning ever bigger bonuses.

The banks approved the loans. The banks sold the high risk loans to other banks, and then financial institutions. The loans, collapse, who loses? The ones the banks sold to, and approved.

Who gets bailed out? The banks.

If you think it was the everyday home owner who made these stupid loans is at fault, your kidding yourself. The banks knew they would default, and then passed on that risk to cover their own asses.

I wonder if Obama will spread his campaign's wealth around, since he's got more money than he can spend between now and election day.

Somehow, I doubt it.

me being european I'd probably be having a huge bias on the american elections, but 'spreading the wealth' doesn't seem like such a bad idea as it's been going pretty ok over here.

not that Obama is all that nice, he promises way too much, undoubtfully atleast 70% of what he says won't be happening in his first term.

Not that I like McCain, on the contrary (but again, I'm biased)

this whole crisis started with the banks proposing redicoules loans and stupid people accepting them.
