Bullshit. The reason why there is volatility is due to the creation of money in the private sector (all modern money is banker created instruments of debt) and that commodities often contain speculator driven-up prices that over valuate nearly everything speculators invest in.
Also, there is little or no chance of a depression the economic-mechanics (now) are very different and the shear volume of money that is in the spin cycle (is collected as tax then paid to someone else; or service/utility companies doing something similar) is enormous. We will get a recession or a deep recession but the American economy will not collapse - even if the stock market does.
