Looks like Canader has been replaced by the UAE.

I guess F1 is the new football (and cricket, and rugby). I.e: Everywhere but North America

Canada was one of the better races. No GP in northern america? Europe still hosts 9 out of 18 races (+ Turkey). And they left France in which is the worst track ever. + German GP will be on Nürburgring in 2009. Hockenheim is so much better.

I wish the calendar would be more like this:

Australia
Malaysia
Bahrain
Spain / Jerez
Monaco
Turkey
Germany / Hockenheim
Hungary
Europe (Valencia)
Belgium
Italy / Imola
Singapore
Japan / Suzuka
China
Brazil
Abu Dhabi

Replace the french GP with USA / Laguna Seca. And I'd like to see Portugal / Estoril and South Africa back in the list.

What else is changing in the 2009 season?

So far, wiki says:

* Along with changes to bodywork, vehicle weight and tyre size, the document includes details of a "Kinetic Energy Recovery System", or KERS. This is a regenerative brake device that is designed to recover some of the vehicle's kinetic energy that is normally dissipated as heat during braking. The recovered energy could be stored electrically, in a battery or supercapacitor, or mechanically, in a flywheel, for use as a source of additional accelerative power at the driver's discretion.
    * After being banned since 1998, slick tyres will be provided by Bridgestone in 2009.[25]
    * There will also be a cap on team budgets starting in the 2009 season.[26]
    * Section 3.18 of the regulations contains details of "driver adjustable bodywork". The angle of incidence of elements in a defined area forward of the front wheels can be varied by up to 6 degrees and adjusted by direct driver input. A maximum of 2 adjustments can be made on any lap.

Also, the regenerative braking system looks like a nifty piece of work.

Also:

The BBC regain coverage of Formula One in the United Kingdom after losing it to ITV in 1996. The deal will last for 5 years and includes TV, radio and online coverage rights.[27]
This is the best one, no more gay adverts during the race.

I read something that after Singapore, in order to keep the races on during the afternoon in europe, they would look to implementing night races in places like australia.  Any word on that?  Night race was absolute fucking win.

Tbh, it wasnt anything special as the entire track was lit up with floodlights. Not what I would call a "night race", but nevermind.

But its a good thing about BBC Sundays will be epic with F1 and TG on...ITV better find something to keep people watching.

From what I've heard they looking to have Australia as a late afternoon race, not a night race because all the residents who hate the F1s anyway were bitching about it...lame, I would have liked a night race here

Bring F1 back to Long Beach (maybe even Laguna Seca, previously suggested by Bratwurstschnece), Kyalami - South Africa, Estoril - Portugal, Imola - San Marino and keep Canada. Hell, we should have 30 F1 races per season. I want more damn it, more.

So, you're a German guy, born in Abu Dhabi who lives in Shanghai.
