I thought this would be cool for everyone who didn't know about them.

Holophonic tecnology is simply a way of recording to create realistic 3D sounds. Use a headset, close your eyes and listen to these:

Yeah, me and a few friends did it on our phones, and all got scared shitless at that point.

EDIT: What I mean to say is that this is ollllllllld.

And I can do it on my 2.1 speakers, somehow.

There's a good on in the related videos, fireworks going off.

You mean "The Grumpy Snail."

Strangely enough that's the first thing I thought of too when I saw the word "Holophonic". I think there's a strange link between us Cheez and it has something to do with Matthew Groening.

The second vid was creepy...the first bit, I felt like my hair was being set on fire. And the wasp/bee part felt like it was trying to crawl into my ear

Barbershop doesn't work for me, never have. Second one was awesome, though.

EDIT: Re-did the barbershop, it worked, and was awesome.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

In case you didn't know, there's just two channels.

That's pretty much the point. It'll sound the same with a couple of headphones. Try it.
