Get this, get this....the Republican House proposal gives the corporations a 2 year tax break. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK IS THAT?!?!
If I screwed up at my job that fucking bad, I WOULDN'T GET A FUCKING TAX BREAK! I'd get the g'damn boot! Oh Christ!

brace yourself for the condescending remarks and the barrage of links and the usuals saying things that may very well contradict what they have said before just to defend mccain.

I hate the fact that people talk so much about a VP candidate

Oh come on.  I hate mccain as much as the next guy, but it wasn't him who screwed it up, it was that cry-baby Boner who ruined it because of peer pressure.  He was getting along with Pelosi like a grown up, but then he gave in like the little pansy he is and blew it up.  I haven't seen any evidence McCain did it...other than this blog by one of the more liberal and less trustworthy sources...ariana huffington.  And I say that as a regular reader of think progress and crooks and liars...that and I'm an Obama supporter.

SO yeah, I highly doubt the blame is on McCain for the blow up when it was clearly Boner doing it.

I think we can all agree, however, that this was another one of his cheap political ploys.

i.e. suspending your campaign.

i.e. choosing an unqualified VP.

Rather than let Palin take over the campaign for a short while, he decided to suspend the whole thing.

He's smarter than most give him credit for.

This is actually a bit funny. One Democrat is blaming McCain for the deal collapsing by supporting an alternative plan (Chris Dodd). Another is saying that he spoke last, said nothing important and had little to do with the negotiations (Harry Reid).

I guess G.H.W.B. was a genius for picking Dan Quayle?

The damned bailout is fucking wrong since the severance packages for the bigwigs involved in this fiasco is probably 500 billion. Yes I know I am exaggerating but seriously how much will they get paid for fucking the US tax payers in the ass?

I don't think the 700 is gonna work anyway because the companies identified so far are just the friggin tip of the iceberg. It is just throwing good money after bad.
The US economy is a giant Ponzi scheme. And 'to big to fail' is code speak for 'niahnahniahniahnah 99 percenters'

"When Bush yielded early to Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D- Nev.) to speak, they yielded to Obama to speak for the assembled Democrats. And it was Obama who raised the subject of the conservative alternative and pressed Paulson on what he thought of the idea."

The House GOP can’t block a bailout bill.

If Pelosi has her entire caucus in line to support the Paulson plan, then she has the vote to pass it.  Some estimates have as many as 50 Republicans ready to support the plan in defiance of Boehner.  If that’s true, Pelosi could lose all of her Blue-Dog Democrats and still pass the bill.

So why not just call a vote?  Pelosi doesn’t want to get married to George Bush, that’s why.  She wants to spread the political risk and get consensus on a bailout plan so that the responsibility for any failure doesn’t rest solely on her shoulders, at least in the House.  Both Pelosi and Harry Reid wanted John McCain to deliver both GOP caucuses to cover their own butts on the bailout bill, and McCain — at least thus far — hasn’t convinced Boehner to do so.

You know damn well when it doesn't work, and it won't in the long run, dems will be blamed then. Like they are for voting FOR Iraq. Games people play.

The bed is made. Let's lie in it without pockets full of tax payer money.

QFTMFT.

Don't give us crap that McCain screwed up the bill, if they wanted to pass it, it would have already been voted on and passed. They just want to get republicans to back it because they know it's a pile of crap and don't want to be the only people blamed for its impact on America.
