So I was sitting in my desk chair looking for my flash drive. Looking under papers, behind the monitor, see if it was still in the USB port. Then it hit me. I had put a big load of laundry in the washer, so I bolted from my desk chair, jumped over the couch, ran through the kitchen, then arrived at the washer which was already full of water. I pulled out the jeans, from the murky blueish water, where the flash drive would be and my biggest fear became reality. I looked in the pocket where I always put it in on its journey to and from school and there it was, soaking wet. So now it is drying under a lamp that gives off a lot of heat and hopefully it will still work, small chance I know, but hey. Good thing that I backup my data on the flash drive to my computer, so all is not lost.

On a side note I'm worried you refer to your flash drive as "little guy", on more than one occasion in the same sentence none-the-less.

I feel you man, ive lost more than 2 flash drives by washing them. Draining them didnt work for me, good luck though.

If you get electronics wet you can dry it out nicely in a bag of uncooked instant rice...just make sure the drive is completely covered by it...

I have done this with my cell phone and it works fine...you have to leave it in there overnight...
