(don't ask me why I diddnt make the .exe in /caps/)
Christmas Present = Patch 1.5?
and if you where bad this year you get a "6 month sub with AA=Artifical Aiming"

1.50 is a mix of community feedback and stopping the hacks and the update is definately about securing the game.
It'd have to be game breaking to be a reverted issue since for everyone that wants something changed there is another player that doesn't want it changed.
As for what took so long, thats a difficult one to answer. Battlefield 2142 took a lot of time to get to where it is now and new projects obviously need to be made but now seems the right time to concentrate on Battlefield 2.

All of the whining morons are making me laugh. Even if they change it, what can you do? Adapt or quit playing because you surely aren't wanted here.
OT: Controlling macros and autokeys would be helpful, as I've gotten fed up with the self-important pro fags who use macros in helos.

Hope they don't screw it up, BF2 feels unplayable some nights.
