Cant create a new account, EA master server times out....WTF?

Bought 2142....downloaded and installed 1.5 patch....try to create a new acount and get this error

ACCOUNT CREATION ERROR
Server timed out please try again later

I 've tried disabling my antivirus and still get the same error.

Your anti virus has nothing to do with limiting connections. Its your firewall, and, you should alowe bf2142.exe or what ever it is though any and all of your firewalls. A

Also, are you trying to make a EA account or just a soldier, because you can make an EA account on their website.

Also if your running Dial-Up, Or on capped internet, That's probably why.

Try using your friends computer to sign up, Then copy the profile folder from the 'My Documents'.
