guys they just destroyed the last line of defence against hackers.
No more PBSS screens, no more autorisation for all Punkbuster admins/ Pbbans admins/GGC/ Etc.

NO Auto Admin
NO Streaming of ALL anti-cheat supporters (like PBBans/punbusted/GGC/etc.
NO Unique MD5 Checks like (Sound/usersettings.con)

R-con Accses to the ranked server is in discussion.

this is probably a event towards the 1.5 patch D:

How do I know something changed??

1. FTP Access withdrawn

2. PsB Auto-MBL ceased to work as it relies on FTP

3. SCRAM doesn't work relies on FTP

4. PBSS reduced from 1500 x 816 (Attempted) 512 x 384 (Resulting) Sample rate 2 to 734 x 398 (Attempted) 366 x 198 (Resulting) SR 2 (x=50, y=50) Which doesn't produce full screen PBSS, so things like the mini-map cheat can't be spotted any more as most PBSS aren't big enough to show the mini-map

In a nutshell all of the above changes have made BF2 an easy target for the cheats now.

No more screenshots for review

No way of updating the Ban Lists (PsB auto- MBL)

No way of viewing the screenshots

Way to go EA, it's only 5 mins ago you celebrated the success of BF2

Btw i hope this is a action towards the new patch on better security and not a fuckup of "YouKnowWho"

Wait, so server admins can't access those PB screenshots anymore? That's lame, those saved me from a ban once when my firewall dialog popped up ingame, making PB think it was a hack, the screenshot showed otherwise, luckily.

Seems a bit weird to me. Also hacked servers are a minor annoyance compared to persistent cheating on all servers, IMO. Furthermore, the hacked server issue was a bigger problem specifically because you can PID hack people. If PID hacking was blocked, the hacked servers would be much less of an issue (as anyone willingly playing on them would just end up getting reset anyway, while legitimate players would steer clear of them).

They may have other (patch related?) motivations for this, but the change seems to be a bit sledgehammer-ish.

This is good news except for PBSS (since it's useful for banning when you're not on the server). Ranked shouldn't have shitty mods like autoadmin which tells if you're "baseraping" or be able to scan for altered usersettings.con. I'd rather admins go without their custom shit than autoadmin or modded servers.
