Like DesertFox said. How the fuck can someone shoot themselves in the head with, not just some small pistol, but a rifle. I don't think they said what rifle it was probably one of those Ruger 10/22 rifles because of what they said about the mag.

Ive got an old juvenile rifle lying around, very short barrel and stock. An 11 year old could easily shoot himself in the head unfortunately. Even if the gun or ammo was locked up, kids will always search the house for keys to these things.
Generally you would hope proper educating, training and responsibility about firearm usage would prevent this shit if kids did manage to get access to their guns alone.
