Miniguns suck The ranger armour is awesome though, prefer it to power armour.

Also the mysterious stranger perk makes me lolirl everytime and makes the game worth playing for me. When that music plays it's like christmas

maan money is useless. For a while early on when ammo and guns were hard to find, money was needed. I had to constantly pay to repair them, and buy all the ammo and stimpacks I could find. But a bit later in the game money becomes useless. What ever weapon you are using you will always find more of it so you can repair your self. And if you up your repair skill you can earn thousands of caps by clearing one location.
Pretty fast I got to about 15000 with nothing interesting to buy except occasional ammo

What the game needs is a location where you can pay someone to "train" you. For example, 1000 for a skill point, or 5000 for a perk etc...

Just installed my copy and I have the same problem.

Ok, apparently something's gone really wrong, after installing Fallout 3 there was something wrong with my Vista's Aero interface (no transparency, window title bars wrong colour with odd looking minimise/maximise/close buttons etc...) and I couldn't play video files (got audio only). Tried reinstalling my gfx drivers, which kept giving me the same DLL error over and over again near the end of the install. Only way to stop it was resetting the machine. Now the aero interface seems to work properly but when playing video files I get an error about 10 seconds in.

Gawd I should have bought the more expensive Xbox version.

I have Xbox version.
At first I found this game incredibly boring, like travelling around for 15 mins.
But now I <3 <3 <3 <£ <3 <£ <3 <3 <3 v3 <3 Fallout 3, especially as I now know how to use the PipBoy 3000

That's exactly why I bought the 360 version. Problems installing FC2 made me skeptical and I wasn't going to be stopped from playing by my computer/Vista. So, no problems.
