Yeh,,, Maybe I will do so since you can do it by changing the FSB to 400Mhz with a multiplier @ 9x

with the E5200 and the F7P you should be fine temp wise up to 1.45V. Depending on your chip it should get you into the 4GHz+ terrain. 3.6GHz is absolutely no problem for the F7P.

At least that's my experience with this set-up

im using a Tuniq Tower 120, the original non LED fan version.

But i lost the rheobus so its on maxed fan speed all the time.

Im getting 27 deg c at idle and max 50deg c maxed out.

Yes, that voltage reading is correct.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. I get 3.6 with Freezer7, but I'm restricted due to vcore.. musta been a bad batch, although my mobo could be to blame.

Ja, my E7400 stock cooler pushed my E7200 to 3.16 fully stable on stock volts. Temps under 70.

The safe vcore limit for E8500 is 1.4, 1.45 is not going to do very much bad and 1.5 is already pretty exterme. Better safe than sorry with 45nm CPU's.

His CPU starts to need excessive vcore around 4.2GHz. Not worth it to continue higher. And yeah for 24/7 use I would keep it around 1.4v max.
