i think people have a misconceptions of this section. debate AND serious talk. now what does that mean? debate..obvious. serious talk? wats that? well for some of us, we would like to talk about current events rather than paris hilton like EE. thats what some of us come here for. not to write and debate like we are at harvard. or just change the title to debate and have real debates.

Users have to especially take responsibility in this section. Sometimes I'll look at something and I'm not sure whether it is generally seen as interesting or if people are sick of it, and then I general air on the side of leaving as much user content as possible. If someone reports it on the other hand, I know at least one person is sick of it and they probably aren't alone. This isn't to say that moderation is strictly done by reports or that all reports are unquestioningly acted upon, but they sure do play a big part.

Most of the time the debates are usually pretty good.
