Why don't you unlock the cores on your CPU?Naturn wrote:

Motherboard does not support it.
Them's the brakes.
Some dual core fun.
Had a couple of things open in the background
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
Very nice. What cooling setup?

Clearly the Intel processors have a very large edge here... watching my Core Temp meter, the program barely even used all six of my cores. Could definitely use some optimization, this thing...
Running on Win7 x64. Tried running it in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode but that didn't change a thing. Oh well.

Super pi was deeloped for intel.CapnNismo wrote:

My processor actually calculated 1 million faster than yours haha
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
Ah well that would explain a lot. I was looking at the table on the front page and noticed that the Intels were beating the piss out of the AMDs. Ah well, such is life, amirite?Camm wrote:

It's developed to stress one core, and it heavily favours intel.

I'm really not going to bother updating this chart any more, unless there's some serious want behind it (knock on wood). All members getting new hardware that they want on the chart is going to create a bureaucratic nightmare out of managing it.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
I thought we had a new thread
