3 or 4 people could stop him but it would sort of take time to co-ordinate themselves by that time the victim might be unsavable and it's not like there was a stand off. That's pretty horrible considering the victim was only 19. Strange though because the man could of easily turned on the driver when he got back on the bus to check on what was going on yet he carried on dismembering the guy. So maybe he could of been stopped.

the subclavian (my personal favorite) is out of reach as its at least 2 and half inches.
penetrating the brachial on the other hand, is reachable at a half inch. with loss of consciousness @ 14 seconds and death following at a minute and a half....with the right knowledge, you could bleed someone out with your fucking car keys.

the fact he was just stabbing the guy like a robot indicates to me he didnt have a clue what he was doing with his knife (ie he didnt know quick-kill points), so rushing him could throw him off guard.
