Movie with footage from Michael Jackson's rehearsals for his last concert series. The guy was 50 and he still had it. His footwork is awesome, the comments that the people involved with the production are insightful, all around great movie and worth the $11 I paid for it.

Just saw 2012. A lot of fun. This is why you go to the movies, fantastic film. No it wasn't good, but fuck "good", I had a lot of fun and you might too.
All the cliche'd crap you'd expect from Roland Emmerich and more. Expect estranged families getting back together in predictable ways, people nobly sacrificing themselves for the precious children, teary goodbyes and even more teary-eyed reunitings, impossible acts of survival, (literally impossible,) and at least one scene of a dog braving all and surviving. The characters are your standard disaster movie fare but to their credit they all played their parts well and I wouldn't consider any of them annoying which is pretty rare in this type of movie.
Emmerich has a certain style that lets you experience all the CG carnage so you can get the most out of this. Fuck Mike Bay's spastic camera movement and fucking annoying lighting effects or Cloverfield's headache-inducing even more spastic camera movement and restricted viewpoint, if there is a massive CG disaster that Emmerich and his team painstakingly created he wants you to damn well see it and appreciate it. It's a lot of rinse-and-repeat "We only have X seconds left!" frantically running away from the next great threat but dammit it does it well. No doubt there'll be a number of scenes so ridiculous that you'll just crack up at the hilarity of it all but that doesn't matter 'cause it's all fun.
So yeah, it's crap. But it's crap assembled with such skill and sense of fun that you might just think it's chocolate.

Very much so but unlike Emmerich's other end of the world movie, (or end of hemisphere at least,) "Day After Tomorrow" the story doesn't take over from the action which is a blessing. The story may be "aw boo" but sometimes it's hard to really notice with eveything else that's going on.

Clockstoppers. Saw it for the second time. It's got some neat effects and whatnot but the storyline was rather shit. Would've been a 5/10 if the female actress wasn't so good looking

Got back from 2012 last night around midnight. That thing lasted forever! I thought it was really well done, especially the computer made graphics. One thing I'm not too pleased about was the ridiculously gay preview of some shit called "Avatar" at the beginning. That thing is pure epic gay!

Actually 2012 was so dumb in the end. I just hate the way every second is counting and instead of trying to unblock the gears he's making out with his ex-wife and then his son asks if he can come and they waste two minutes in sentimental bullshit.

They explained it by saying that the money funded the work on the Arcs but really they could have just "invented" money to get the work done. I mean it's not like they had any reason to try to maintain the economy.
And yeah, the sentimental stuff was illogical but hey, it's a Roland Emmerich film.

I'm thinking they should have just told the whole world and built a thousand arcs and only people with the best chances or reproducing were priorities others could come once the breeders were selected.
